Two men (Ethan Embry, Pat Healy) with some financial problems decide to go out and have a beer. While at a bar, they run into a couple (David Koechner, Sara Paxton) who are celebrating her birthday. After hearing that one of the guys may be evicted from their home, they offer a small challenge to make some quick cash. After one of them accepts, they offer a slightly more difficult challenge. Their games start off as very lighthearted and fun, but as the night progresses they become much more sinister and down right nasty. The trailers say this is from the producers of You’re Next, and it does seem to have that same level of dark humor that I got from that feature. Plus they also seem to play up the comic element which I highly enjoy. It also asks the question of how far would you be willing to go to make some big money. Is there a line you wouldn’t cross? It would be very cliche to have this couple ask these guys to kill someone for cash, and I hope it doesn’t go into that territory, but from where it stands I am really interested in this movie.
