The Trailer Park: “Chappie” (2015): More Than Meets the Eye

Entertainment Weekly has the first look trailer for Chappie, Neill Blomkamp’s followup to Elysium and District 9. Following the story of a robot who becomes aware, intelligent, and can feel emotions, Chappie showcases what our future could very much be like and the role artificial intelligence will play in our world.

‘Chappie’ – Exclusive trailer

Blomkamp regular, Sharlto Copley, is providing the motion capture and voice for the titular robot, and he is joined by Dev Patel, Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver, and members of the South African band Die Antwoord. Chappie hits theaters on March 6, 2015.
