Comic Con 2015: Recap and Reactions Part I

Comic Con may be winding down in San Diego, but the news, trailers, and all sorts of goodies that came out of the convention are still hot as shit and awesome as pie. Below is a run down of the CC’s biggest events.

Warner Brothers stole the show with plenty of announcements. First off, WB announced Green Lantern Corps, a new Green Lantern film that will focus on multiple GLs throughout the universe. Could this perhaps be Warner Brothers’ attempt to follow a formula similar to Guardians of the Galaxy? We’ll have to wait for more details and casting news. Rumor has it that Chris Pine will be playing one of the Lanterns.

WB then surprised everyone with a visit from David Ayer and the entire cast of The Suicide Squad, sans Jared Leto. Not only was the entire cast on stage together, but a trailer premiered, revealing each character kicking ass, with reports that Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn absolutely stole the show. The trailer also features a few seconds of Leto’s Joker, including an introduction to his Clown Prince voice we’ve all been wondering about. While the trailer has leaked online, there is no official news of an HD release.

FINALLY. Zack Snyder came out with the cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and released one of his masterpiece trailers upon the world. Just… watch.

Hot Holy Moses Zeus. There is so much to take in with this trailer. We get to see Bruce Wayne’s motivation behind his motivation towards fighting Superman, Batman’s suit he dons to fight Superman, Wonder Woman, Robin’s “museum’ed” costume, Alfred, Lex Luthor, Jesus-Supes, and so much more. Leave it to Snyder to leave all of us fanboys losing our shit like a teenage girl who “can’t even”…

Here’s a link to a great gallery with a ton of HD screen caps from the trailer.

LucasFilm released a great sizzle reel of a ton of behind the scenes footage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I’ve been vocal about my dislike of the Star Wars franchise, but this footage woke something up inside me.

Quentin Tarantino revealed a poster for his next film, The Hateful Eight, as well as announcing the news that legendary composer, Ennio Morricone, will be providing the soundtrack for the film.

Two posters for Warcraft, featuring Duortan and Lothar. Duncan Jones says we will be treated to a trailer in November.
