Next Xbox Live Promo Info, Outlining Free Xbox Live Subscriptions, Being Sent to Retail Executives.

It’s not too often that you have the ability in journalism to have friends in high places that are willing to share information from other companies in regards to something that has been kept as tight lipped as the next Xbox. What I was able to come in contact with, from an unnamed close acquaintance that for obvious reasons has asked for anonymity, is somewhat unprecedented in today’s day and age. In a document that was sent to many high-ranking executives for different retail outlets outlines the newest, what seems to be called simply Xbox, displays that everyone will be able to enjoy free a free Xbox Live subscription with the purchase of a new console.

We have the pictures from the executive information release displaying both the prototype packet within the newest Xbox, which has all of your typical information like licensing, terms of service, owner’s manual, health and safety info, but the last piece that seemed rather interesting was the fact that there is a card containing a one time use code for a free Xbox Live account for new purchases of the next generation console.

This is the prototype that you will find enclosed in your new XBOX Console.

This is the rough prototype, from the documentation sent to executives, that you will find enclosed in your new XBOX Console.

We have reached out to Microsoft for further conformation but have yet to receive anything

This lends some creditability to the thought that the next Xbox will not have DRM features on it after all, but instead offer a paid subscription to those that choose to buy the console used.

Wow free XBOX Live!

Wow free XBOX Live!

Those that do buy it new will enjoy the fact that the free Xbox Live subscription is provided free for those that fell for this April Fool’s Day Joke. :-) Your Welcome courtesy of Microsoft and CineKatz!

The day Microsoft will be offering 1 day free access to live, Sony, will be giving dualshocks3 for free.
Every cent is important for Microsoft. Why offering a 20ct game, when you can make 20cts x millions users= x million $
Just like Nintendo only rely on Nintendo classics, like super Mario, Microsoft rely on gears and halo games. They do know the day the x720 gets released, 15 million guys will buy the console for playing the next halo game.
But for Nintendo, things aren’t going on as forecasted.even the biggest fans are skipping the console. Could this happen to Microsoft, as well? Could people get really tired of paying for playing online, not getting a single 10ct game for free, not getting many exclusives, paying big money for proprietary hard drives, etc, tired of playing the same games over and over, tired of all the future restrictions, as always online, DRM, ads, etc.could people just be fed up of all this, and move to a console where they are sure to get hundreds of great games, on a reliable system that will last at least 8-10 years?
Money is becoming more and more scarce on people wallets, and many can’t no longer justify spending 60$ for playing online and chatting with other guys(CG chat) when, on other systems, for the same money, you get tons of free full games, along with many other goodies and reductions.

Will Microsoft experience the same reaction from fans, as Nintendo is doing, right now, with the Wii u?

So,no, no free live access :) Microsoft loves the millions live gold brings them every month, too much, for abandoning them. Those are easy-made millions, it won’t stop tomorrow.

Mike911, thanks for your comment and hopefully you enjoyed the April Fools gag, but you are 100,000,000,000% right, there is NO way Microsoft will go any other direction. Until consumers refuse to pay for the service, there wont even be a debate. The problem looks to be that Microsoft is looking to have an always connected next generation system. Which will only ensure that everyone will be paying for it because if you buy the console, you wont have a choice.
