Current Golden Globes co-host Tina Fey is close to signing on as the female lead in the upcoming The Muppets sequel. They are really going for the “likability” factor after signing Ty Burrell and Ricky Gervais as the two male leads in the film. It’s like they are trying to make a Disney film for adults…
Tina Fey will play the third human lead, a Russian prison guard (I’m speculating, but perhaps a story-line involving Miss Piggy in a foreign prison?). Also, the tentative title is The Muppets… Again. I like it.
How do you feel about the current cast of The Muppets sequel? Also, is there anyone you would like to see make a cameo in the sequel that wasn’t in the first one?
