We are all watching a lot of TV right now and luckily there is a fantastic range of shows and programs in all genres, to keep us satisfied.

So what are the TV shows we can’t get enough of in 2021? Let’s take a look at some of the most popular shows on TV  to find out.


First up, a surprise hit has been Dickinson airing on Apple TV. The first season was released in 2019 with the second season released in January 2021. The series follows the story of American poet Emily Dickinson and has been described as weird, sexy and warm. Dickinson was a surprise hit in 2019 and the second season is even better.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Keeping up with the Kardashians has become a national institution and after 14 years and 20 seasons, 2021 is the year where the family will finally say goodbye. So if you like millions of others have been hooked on this reality series, this final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians is certainly one to watch.

All Creatures Great and Small

If you fancy something gentle and soothing with a vintage British appeal, All Creatures Great and Small ticks all the feel good boxes. The series was released in January 2021 on PBS and is attracting record viewing audiences.

It tells the story of a rural veterinarian James Herriot working in a rural community in Yorkshire in the 1930s. It features a range of wildly eccentric characters, animals and crazy situations all set against a backdrop of beautiful British countryside.

Shadow and Bone

If you love fantasy and enjoyed Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones, Shadow and Bone will be right up your street!

This high budget fantasy show is based on the Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo and features plenty of supernatural powers, moody Russian style scenery and a compelling story line. Will it achieve the heights of Game of Thrones?  It seems highly possible and with its release on Netflix in April, Shadow and Bone looks like a hit!


We’ve all seen the Matt Damon film about this appealing conman and murderer. Now Ripley has come onto the small screen with this classy 8 episode series, based on the novels of Patricia Highsmith.

Set in the 1960s, it follows the story of young grifter Tom Ripley as he blags his way into travelling to Italy in order to bring a rich man’s son back to the USA. Along the way Ripley turns to crime and murder to further his own ambitions and although we all know we shouldn’t, we do want this ultimate anti hero to win!

Ripley is set to release on Showtime early in 2021 and is expected to create a stir with viewing audiences.

Firefly Lane

Firefly Lane is a wonderful epic series focused on female friendships. The story follows four friends over a decade, starting at aged 14 and is joyful, uplifting emotional and sometimes heart breaking as they grow into adulthood.

Firefly Lane was released in February 2021 on Netflix and looks like the ultimate chick flick series.
